Africa desk
Nouvion Avocats has developed an extensive practice specific to Africa, particularly in French-speaking African countries, where it has been providing an efficient and constructive assistance to its clients for over 20 years.
The activities of our Africa Desk focus on providing tax advice on establishment and international investments, and deal with related business law issues, in particular OHADA law, as well as regulatory issues (CEMAC - UEMOA foreign exchange regulations, sector-specific regulations on oil, mining, forestry, public-private partnerships, telecoms, financial services).
Our teams are also involved in defending the interests of their clients in case of audits and litigation, particularly tax, customs or sectoral (oil, mining, forestry).
Most of the lawyers in our Africa Desk have lived and worked in Africa, and master both business and tax law applicable in the continent's main countries. Benefiting from a strong network of contacts within leading local professionals, they provide assistance tailored to the needs of international groups investing on the continent.
Nouvion Avocats is one of the co-founders of TaxAfrica Alliance, the first international tax partnership focused on the African continent, with offices in Paris, New York and numerous sub-Saharan African countries.
